Takenobu Igarashi: A to Z, fundraising has started!

“Takenobu Igarashi: A to Z” focused on three-dimensional characters that Igarashi created during the 1970s and early 1990s.

The publisher is Volume, a crowdfunding platform powered by independent publisher Thames & Hudson in UK.

In the special edition (CUSTOM COVER EDITION), you can select your favorite Igarashi alphabets for the front and back covers. Please see the website for detail information.

Setting Up a Sculpture

I am filled with joy on the day of setting up my sculpture, especially when professionals are at work like today.Mr. Maruyama and his crew are specialists in setting up art works for museums.They know exactly where to hold, and move in harmonious teamwork, so that I can relax and watch them work.

Fresh Out of the Kiln

The Fascination of Glaze

The mysterious world of glaze is like magic. Some contain poison and are dangerous. The porcelain sculpture that I am working on for the Ota-Ward Gymnasium is challenging, seriously working with different types of glaze.
